Me & Tea Day 224

Hello! Stopped by Brick & Bell this morning (Cute lil brazilian cafe by my work) and got myself a Soy Earl Grey Au Lait. Yum. I found $10 in my purse this morning. How amazing is that? And my parking spot was PERFECT. I’m just feelin’ super lucky today. Hopefully somethin good happens :) If not, I’m ok with it. I was feeling super anxious yesterday. I don’t know why. I guess I kind of know why? I dont know. Whatever the reason, I’m glad it’s gone today.

Hmmm, what else. Not much more to update ya’ll on. So until tomorrow :)

HI HEY HELLO

I’m sorry I suck lately at this. I feel like I have no time for anything. I work weekends and during the week when I get home I Just clean or chill out and rest while I can. I NEED to get back on this tea thing. Today is boring.. just some Nestea IN A CAN from work. I love that it’s canned. Anyways, work has been going well :) It’s like I never left. I love it. This weekend I’m going on an LA adventure.. I can’t wait! OH ALSO I’m going to Coachella next year! IM SO STOKED. And I’m bringing cool people with me! Like my Bro and some awesome people I met through EST. I’m so excited. YAY YAY YAY. Too bad it’s like a year away. Oh well, it’ll be amazing!

So this awkward boy I work with asked me to lunch today.. at first I said yes cuz I was caught off guard. But then I told him I Had too much to do and was going to work through lunch. Am I mean? I don’t want to be… he’s just so awkward and has NEVER talked to me. So the whole thing was so random. I can’t deal with awkward situations. I just can’t! Ah! I feel bad..

Also, I don’t know what’s going on with this whole Yahoo & Tumblr thing.. but I creeped a bit and saw something about ads… and I just HOPE that Tumblr remains the same, awesome thing that it is.

Alright.. back to work.

Me & Tea Day 221 & 222

HI!!! Sorry I haven’t updated my tea posts in so long. I’ve been super busy.
But now I can finally update you guys.. I got my design job back!!
I started this Monday. Over summer I was just an intern, and had been let go around Christmastime as part of a 20% company wide layoff. But, I stayed in contact with my supervisor and when they informed me they had an open position I jumped at it! How crazy. I just love how things work out. Sometimes it seems like forever that things are going wrong, and I may seem like I’m giving up.. but really I never lose faith. I know everything will work out in the end. Whatever’s meant to be, will. I absolutely believe that. So now I’m full-time. And I get to stay living in San Diego. I’m starting to look for a 1 bedroom, now. I’m so excited for this summer and the rest of the year.
I’ve made so many friends/connected with old friends over this past week. I have so many plans for the summer/fall and weekends. I’M JUST SO EXCITED ABOUT LIFE RIGHT NOW. How crazy is this? AH, I can’t get over it. :)
OH so.. I treated myself to an Iced Spiced Chai on Monday.. and today I found these awesome cans of tea in my work fridge! So that’s my tea update for ya ;) Oh, also. I’m still going to be working at the Tea Pavillion on the weekends for a while and just put all that I make there into a savings account. For stuff & Things, you know?
Alright, back to work!

Hello!

I’ve had this post building in my head since last week.
Every now and then I talk about my love for MGK and this movement/EST. Last weekend I got to forget about real life and just enjoy it. I was originally just going to go to two shows.. but as soon as I got in line on Saturday and met all of the amazing people there I decided that I HAD to go to the third one. If I could I would’ve gone to all five in Cali, like my friend D. She’s amazing. She’s one of the people I met on Saturday. I knew her kinda from twitter, but had never met her before. I know that sounds crazy… but we clicked instantly. Now I consider her one of my best friends. No joke.
That’s what’s so amazing about this movement and MGK. It’s not just about the music. It’s the like minded people that he brings together because of it all. Never in my whole 24 years have I dedicated my time to go to three shows of the same artist in a matter of four days. In between the 2nd and 3rd show I had a 5 hour work shift that I couldn’t get covered. Most people would probably just give it up and drive back home two hours and not go to the show. Nope. Not me. I HAD to go. So I drove two hours to work five and then to drive back up two. Just for his show. The third one, mind you. It wasn’t like it was the only one I was going to see.. I had already been to two. But like I said. It’s not just about the show. It’s not just about the music, it’s everything.
My love for this is so hard to explain unless you’re one of us. And I’m sorry if you get annoyed by my constant posts and pictures. But honestly, I don’t care. You should probably take a cue from me and try out a few songs. Go to a show. Let us change your mind. I guarantee you would have the best time.
So many people only think of “Wildboy” when it comes to K. I hate that. Yes, that’s his most popular song. But there’s so much more to him as an artist. Curious? Listen to these: Fantasy, All We Have, See My Tears, Invincible. And I mean.. REALLY listen. Look up the lyrics. Theres so much more to him.
Not only that, he’s super down to Earth. I haven’t met too many celebrities/famous people/artists/what have you.. but the few that I have dont seem to have much time to spare for their fans. K will come out and talk to us, hang out with us in line.. as well as everyone else in his camp. I got so many hugs from them this past weekend. Who can honestly say that about artists they admire? They’re just so genuinely happy to be there and see you rooting for them. That’s why I continue to do that. Because they care.
Also.. K puts his heart and soul into every performance. I admire that so much. Even with a gimp foot he was still bouncing around and going all out at every show. He’d start off good and by the end you could see him limping from doing that. But he never stopped. He never half assed his performances. He’s so fucking dedicated to his craft. He’s not going to stop. And I’m so excited to see him grow as an artist. He’s not getting the recognition he deserves, at all. But I’ll be behind him 100%, always.
I experience serious withdrawals after going to his shows. The past few days I’ve been kind of depressed that I had to leave all my friends and that I’m not sure when I’ll get another show down here. If I could make this my everyday, I definitely would. It’s kind of like.. you know how they say you get depressed after doing certain drugs because you were so high on endorphins and then next thing you know they’re all gone so you feel super sad? It’s like that. Except I was high off the music and the company and the experiences.
I’m very grateful for it all, though. And I know he will come back. And we will all rage again. And I’ve made so many more friends because of this past week. Can I just say.. besides a couple people.. everyone in my pictures I met for the FIRST time in person. And look how comfortable we were? That’s a family.
It’s the experiences I get like these that make the mundane/every day things in life bearable. I feel like everyone has something like that in their life. This is mine. This is what I live for.
